Call for student submissions for Global Student Entrepreneur Awards

Are you a student running your own business? Then you might qualify for the preliminary rounds of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards 2017, that will take place in Amsterdam on the 10th of March. Winner of those rounds will receive an investment of €10K, and will proceed to the international finals. The finals will be held among student entrepreneurs from 50 different countries, and will take place from 17 to 29 April in Frankfurt. You can sign up here, the deadline for submissions is 20 February.

Coaching and advice

The preliminary rounds are more than just a pitching award. A jury of experienced entrepreneurs and scale-ups will be there to provide direct feedback and advice. And there are more benefits: all participants are eligible for professional coaching, mentor sessions, pitch-trainings, and more. If you’re lucky enough, there are even potential clients for your business among the entrepreneurs at present. Moreover, if your startup has an annual revenue of more than €250.000, you may get the change to join the Accelerator-programme of the Entrepreneur’s Organization Nederland for free!

Are you qualified for the awards?

If it sound interesting to you, go for it! Make sure you meet the following criteria:
– You have to be an Undergraduate student at an MBO, HBO, or university.
– Your startup has been running for a minimum period of six months.
– Your startup generated at least €500,-, or you raised at least €1000,- investments.

Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA)

The GSEA was founded in 1988 by Saint Louis University. It is an initiative of the Entrepreneurs Organization, an international network of entrepreneurs sharing their experiences. The organization is active in 50 different countries, where it promotes and supports student entrepreneurship. The Dutch fraction of the organization is founded in 1999, and currently has 182 members, entrepreneurs from varying sectors, that are responsible for an annual revenue of half a billion.
