Right now we need more foods than what we producing today to feed the increasing population which is estimated to be 9 billion in a couple of decades. The company based out of Osnabrück produces sustainable food made out of insects. Bug foundation’s sustainable food consist of foods like burgers that are produced from edible insects manufactured in an eco-friendly manner.

Alvego (Germany)

Alvego is a food startup that makes healthy, macroalgae-based foods. The company’s first product called Riff Raff is the world’s first macroalgae Jerky. According to the company, vegan jerky consists of 100% dried sea and land vegetables. It is a handmade clean label product without any artificial additives. It also has high nutrient density improves the structure of the skin.
